Itinerary

Day 1 | 11 August 2026 – Arrival & Golden Circle

Arrive in Iceland and pick up your rental car before heading straight into the heart of the Golden Circle. Settle into your guesthouse and spend the day exploring iconic sites like Þingvellir National Park, the erupting Geysir geothermal area, and the majestic Gullfoss waterfall. 

Day 2 | 12 August 2026– Solar Eclipse Experience

This is the big day! Use the latest weather updates to drive to the best viewing location for the solar eclipse, expected to be a once-in-a-lifetime sight under Iceland’s dramatic skies. The rest of the day is yours to explore or relax in the serene Golden Circle area. 

Day 3 | 13 August 2026 – South Coast Highlights

Head south for a scenic day trip along the coast. Discover the stunning waterfalls Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss, walk on the black sand beach of Reynisfjara, and take in the coastal charm of the village of Vík. Return to your guesthouse in the evening.

Day 4 | 14 August 2026 – Departure (or Extend Your Stay)

Drive back toward Reykjavík or the airport for departure. If you'd like to see more of Iceland, this package can easily be extended, consider adding days to explore the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, the Highlands, or even the glacier lagoons of the southeast.
