Itinerary

Day1 | Wild Nature, Local Cuisine and Northern Lights

You are picked up in Egilsstaðir or Seyðisfjörður and embark on a scenic drive over the mountains and along the Lagarfljót Lake, where you might spot the local river monster. After a traditional Icelandic meal, you reach a picturesque abandoned farm full of stories. You can then opt for an adrenaline pumping crossing over the glacial river in a cable-box, or a gentle encounter with the one and only Icelandic horse. Following the dinner, head towards the stargazing station, consisting of sheepskins, wool blankets, a campfire, making it the ideal spot for northern lights.

Day 2 | Icelandic Highlands and Breathtaking Waterfalls

You wake up in the Icelandic highlands, for another invogorating day in the East. Today you visit a traditional turf farmhouse, before making your way out of the valley, on the look for reindeers. At the Vatnajökull National Park, an exhibition tells you about nature preservation and challenges. You then get to approach one of Iceland’s highest waterfalls, Hengifoss, spectacular by its size and volcanic history, as well as its little sister, Litlanesfoss Waterfall, before driving home.
