During the trip people get to know the world of the beach, and the atmosphere the closeness of the sea offers.
From the coast there is an exellent view to the mountains in Hornafjörður.
 
We drive to the coast and then to Melatangi near Hornafjardaros, which is the only way into the port of Höfn. Here is the old airport for the Hornafjörður area. 
 
We explore the old ruins from the time when British and US forces where here during the Second World War. 
After that it's time to taste Icelandic shark, dried fish, „brennivín“ or Egils malt.
 
 
Departure is from Hólmur at 20:00
