Iceland Solar Eclipse 2026 – The Definitive Snæfellsnes Experience by minibus
Guests are invited to experience the total solar eclipse in one of Iceland’s most spectacular regions, the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Throughout the day, experienced local guides adjust the route and stops based on weather and conditions, ensuring flexibility and the best possible viewing opportunities.
Snæfellsnes offers Iceland’s longest totality, lasting over two minutes, set against a dramatic backdrop of glaciers, volcanoes, lava fields, black sand beaches, and rugged cliffs.
The eclipse is viewed from a private horse farm, where guests are welcomed with drinks and an early dinner made from local Icelandic ingredients. From this peaceful setting, the entire eclipse can be observed, from the first partial phase at 16:44 through totality between 17:45 and 17:47, until daylight returns at 18:46. Guests may also relax at the farm and meet Icelandic horses, adding a unique local touch to this rare experience.
Pickup starts at 9:30 AM, with departure at 10:00 AM.
