Sólheimajökull, an outlet glacier of Mýrdalsjökull (Iceland’s fourth-largest glacier), is surrounded by some of the country’s most iconic volcanoes. Upon arrival at the Sólheimajökull parking lot, guests will be equipped with crampons, an ice axe, and a helmet before stepping onto the ice. The hike includes exploration of fascinating glacial formations and insights into how these natural wonders are formed.
