Experience the magnificent nature of Vatnajökull National Park while paddling on a sit-on-top kayak at Heinabergsjökull Glacier Lagoon. The guided tour offers you great views of glaciated mountains and provides you with the opportunity to get up close and personal with wildlife and icebergs. Duration of tour 3,5 hours. Time in the boat 1,5-2 hours. Available from 15 May to September.

Meeting point: 

Our base camp is located at a place called Flatey, a dairy farm located 38 km west of Höfn. At Flatey our guides will outfit all participants with the appropriate kayak equipment and provide additional gear.

  • The total length of the tour is 3,5 hours, thereof 1.5-2 hours on the boats 

Requirements

  • Reasonable level of fitness is required for the kayak tour. The tour suits kayakers with no paddling experience to experienced paddlers. 
  • Age limit is 14 years old. Children, 14-16 years old, have to ride with an adult person (at least 17 years old) in a two person kayak.
