From Reykjavík you drive in the north direction. Stay for 3 nights in the tranquility of the countryside and explore both Snaefellsnes peninsula and Borgarfjörður. The Snaefellsnes National park has the most amazing places to explore like Djúpalónssandur, a beauiful pebbled beach, with a series of rocks of mysterious form emerging from the ocean,  Snæfellsjökull glacier  where, according to Jules Werne, is the entrance to the center of the earth. See Iceland‘s largest and most powerful hot spring Deildartunguhver, and the 1 km wide Hraunfossar waterfall.
