Itinerary 
A suggested itinerary is included and delivered upon arrival. The itinerary suggests a route for each day and includes information on interesting places to visit.

Arrival day
 
Guests are met upon arrival
at Keflavik International Airport
and driven to their hotel in Reykjavik.
Accommodation in Reykjavík
(optional and not included in tour price).
 
 
Day 1 and 2 |  The South

Places of interest: Þingvellir National Park, Gullfoss and Geysir.
Start by driving to Þingvellir National Park and
visit a horse farm where the children can try horse riding.
Enjoy the afternoon in Slakki, an attractive small
family zoo featuring Icelandic animals and more.
On day 2 it is ideal to visit Gullfoss Waterfall
and the Geysir hot spring area in the morning
and then drive to the coastal village Stokkseyri. At Stokkseyri 
you can stroll along the sea shore and v
isit the Ghost Centre 
and Icelandic Wonders, a museum dedicated to trolls, elves and northern lights.
Accommodation for two nights in Gullfoss and Geysir area.
 
 
 
 
Day 3 |  The Borgarfjörður area

Places of interest: Hraunfossar, Reykholt 
and Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Borgarfjörður is a lovely area.
Hraunfossar are beautiful waterfalls well worth seeing.
It would then be ideal to drive up to Snæfellsnes Peninsula
and perhaps take a boat trip from Stykkishólmur town. 
Accommodation in Borgarfjörður/Hrutafjörður area.
 
 
 
Day 4 and 5 |  The North

Places of interest: Lake Mývatn, Akureyri,
whale watching and farming.
Your accommodation will be in
Akureyri for the next two nights.
Spend some time in the fantastic outdoor geothermal swimming
pool in Akureyri. On day 5 you will be able to go
on a 3-hour whale watching tour from the charming harbour 
village Húsavík (included in the tour price).
In the afternoon you have the option
to visit a cow shed and explore the Lake Mývatn area with its 
lava formations and steaming volcanic sites.
 
 
 
Day 6 |  The West

Visit the farmhouse museum at Glaumbær
and the old turf church at Víðimýri.
There are horse rentals in the Skagafjörður area
where you can try riding Icelandic horses
which are very different from other breeds.
Although small, they are extremely strong and sturdy,
with five gaits, two more than most other breeds.
Accommodation in Borgarfjörður/Hrútafjörður area.
 
 
 
Day 7 |   Reykjavik

The many outdoor geothermal swimming pools in Reykjavik
are excellent for children and an excursion to the Blue Lagoon 
Geothermal Spa is a must for every traveller. 
It can also be fun to visit the Reykjavik Family Park and Zoo
in Laugardalur and the various art and heritage museums around the city. 
For city sightseeing we recommend the “Hop on, Hop off” bus.
