We also recommend the 'Hop on, Hop off' city sightseeing bus. Take a day tour to the Blue Lagoon Geothermal Spa for a soak in the healing milky-blue waters (tour included).

Day 3 | Snæfellsnes Peninsula
Explore the southern part of the scenic Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Stroll along seemingly endless beaches, fall under the spell of Snæfellsjökull Glacier which is reputed to be one of the seven 'energy points' of the Earth, admire the coastal formations at Arnarstapi and the beautiful church at Búðir.

Day 4 | The West and South
Start the day with a unique nature exploration - and birdwatching boat tour of the many islands of Breiðafjörður Bay from Stykkishólmur harbour on the northern part of Snæfellsnes Peninsula (tour included). Head south and tour the famous 'Golden Circle': Þingvellir National Park, Gullfoss Waterfall and Geysir hot spring area. Try riding the sturdy and friendly Icelandic horse at Sólhestar or Eldhestar horse rentals near Hveragerði town. Drive to the charming coastal villages of Stokkseyri and Eyrarbakki for a romantic seaside stroll perhaps followed by a delicious lobster dinner.

Days 5 and 6 | The South Coast
Travel along the South Coast. View the impressive birdlife at Cape Dyrhólaey. Continue to Skaftafell and enjoy the glacier vistas and many walking and hiking possibilities. A little further east you will arrive at Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon where you can go on a boat trip between the drift ice. If you are feeling adventurous you may also want to try a 3-hour ice-climbing tour on Vatnajökull Glacier.
