Itinerary

Day 1 - Thursday | Arrival

We welcome you at the airport between 14.00 - 16.00 p.m. Transfer to the region Borgarfjörður, stay at the wonderful and cosy Hotel Á at Kirkjuból. Tonight, we are looking the first time for the Northern Lights. 

Day 2 - Friday | Borgarfjörður - Borgarnes - Brekkulækur

After breakfast, we will drive to the northwest of Iceland to our farm and guesthouse Brekkulækur. On the way, we stop to look at some beautiful sights of nature such as the unusual waterfall Hraunfossar, Barnafoss and the hot thermal spring Deildartunguhver. We will also visit Borgarnes and the Settlement Centre, an interesting museum about the early days of Iceland and the Sagas. (Exhibition Entrance facultative) After dinner we are of course watching out for Northern Lights

Day 3 - Saturday | Brekkulækur - Hvammstangi - Hot Pot

Today we will start the day with a visit to the naturally warm outdoor swimming pool in Hvammstangi, a unique spa experience. Afterwards, we enjoy a delicious brunch. In the afternoon, we take a guided walk around the farm to look at our 80 horses, who live on large winter pastures nearby and visit interesting characters in the neighbourhood: occupation farmers with a passion for the arts.

Day 4 - Sunday | Excursion - Vatnsnes Peninsula - Seals

It’s excursion day and we drive to the beautiful peninsula Vatnsnes, enjoy the fresh sea breeze, watch out for seals and walk along the beach. We will have dinner at the farm and we will look out for the wonderful light phenomenon at night again.

Day 5 - Monday | Brekkulækur - Blue Lagoon - Gunnuhver Hot Spring

Today we will leave the farm Brekkulækur and travel to the south of the island. On the way, we will stop in Reykjavík, the capital city of Iceland. We will also stop at the Blue Lagoon and visit the hot thermal area with the geothermal spring Gunnuhver. We will sleep in a Hotel in Keflavík, close to the beach. This evening, we will look out again for Northern Lights. Dinner in Keflavík

Day 6 - Tuesday | Departure

Transfer to the airport, farewell to Iceland and flight home.
