Iceland's two largest airlines have announced several new flight destinations and increased capacity for next year.

Icelandair will add three new destinations; Edmonton, capital of Alberta (Canada), Vancouver (Canada) and Geneva (Switzerland), and increase frequency to several cities in North America and Europe. WOW air will add flights from Stockholm (Sweden) and also plans to commence flights to the United States for the first time next spring.  
 

• Icelandair's flights to Edmonton will start 26 March 2014 and continue until January 2015, with service four times a week.
• The Vancouver twice weekly flights start 13 May 2014 and continue until 12 October 2014.
• The Geneva service starts 24 May 2014 and continues twice weekly until 23 September 2014.
• WOW air's Stockholm flights will start 1 June 2014, with flights three times a week.
