Iceland is in seventh place on the Lonely Planet’s Traveller’s Choice Top Destinations 2013 list.

The world's most respected travel guide asked its fans via social media where they have travelled and which places they enjoyed the most. Then they asked them to rate those destinations by certain criteria.

Not only did Lonely Planet fans rate Iceland as a top destination for 2013, they also rated the island as one of their favourites destinations for adventure, nature, safety, off the beaten path and - a destination beyond expectations!
