If you are heading to Iceland over Easter you might want to check out music festival Aldrei fór ég suður which will take place in Ísafjörður town in the Westfjords 29. -30. March 2013.

Aldrei fór ég suður (translation: I never went south) is a celebration of rural heritage, community life in Ísafjordur and egalitarian values: volunteers run the festival that takes place in a workshop that normally repairs bulldozers and trucks and there is no entry fee. It is a family-friendly festival and has been held annually since 2004 with some of the biggest names in Icelandic music performing.
